Welcome to Loving Yourself.Org! A place where we empower women that share the experience of having a spouse or partner in the prison system. Supporting this community of women is near and dear to my heart for I too lived this same experience. Over the years, I watched my parents grow old together and my younger brother get married and build a family with his wife. However, I led a different life for I loved someone that was in and out of the penitentiary.

For 10 years as a girlfriend, I dealt with multiple bailouts, court dates and visits to jail. Then I made the decision to get married and for another 15 years my relationship consisted of phone calls and trailer visits. Being on my own with my husband hours away, I experienced many lonely and difficult moments. Yet, I prevailed with God’s grace. Even during times that I felt like giving up, God had a plan for me and gave me the strength to continue on. Now, I am here to pay it forward and support others who may be struggling in the same and different ways.
